Scott Rihm joined EquiCap Commercial in 2017 as Vice President and was named Partner in 2023. Before becoming a self storage broker, Scott built a diverse career spanning pharmaceutical sales and co-founding a children’s apparel company. This entrepreneurial background, combined with his strong relationship-building skills, equips him with a unique perspective on financial analysis and business operations—insights he leverages to help new owners optimize and streamline their self storage businesses.

Scott works closely with clients to navigate the complexities of buying, selling, and financing self storage assets. While his primary market focus is the Wisconsin market, he has successfully facilitated transactions nationwide for both private and institutional clients.

Scott is an active member of the Wisconsin Self Storage Association and a speaker at industry events. He was recently featured in an interview with Kristin Harlow of Heartland Real Estate Business discussing “Why Investors Are Betting on Self-Storage in 2025.” Read the article here.

Outside the office, Scott and his wife Shannon stay busy supporting their three children, often cheering on the older children at high school track meets and softball games. They also share a passion for travel.
