EquiCap Commercial Welcomes Industry Leaders Matt Junkin and Jared Houck

Anne Blackwell, Jesse Luke, and Scott Rihm, Partners at EquiCap Commercial, a leading self-storage advisory and brokerage firm, are pleased to announce that Matt Junkin and Jared Houck have joined the team. Both bring exceptional experience and respected reputations for delivering strategic, market-driven guidance that supports clients’ long-term success.

Matt Junkin joins EquiCap Commercial as Vice President, focusing exclusively on self-storage investment sales. He advises owners and investors on acquisitions, value enhancement, and exit strategies, leveraging his own experience as a commercial real estate owner to help clients align operations, financial performance, and investment goals. Matt also serves as Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Self Storage Association and remains an active leader in the self-storage community.

Jared Houck joins as Director, specializing in self-storage investment sales. He works closely with property owners and investors to maximize asset value and uncover new opportunities. Known for his hands-on approach, Jared takes the time to meet with owners and tour facilities personally, gaining a detailed understanding of each property and its market.

Together, Matt and Jared will focus on serving private and institutional clients in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast United States. They will be based in EquiCap Commercial’s Pennsylvania Office.
