EquiCap Commercial Welcomes Andy Beeckman as Vice President

Jesse Luke, Scott Rihm, and Anne Blackwell, Partners at EquiCap Commercial, are proud to announce that respected industry veteran and self-storage broker Andy Beeckman joined the EquiCap family as Vice President. In this role, he will lead investment sales and advisory efforts across the Southeast and South-Central U.S., focused on Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, while continuing to support national clients.

Andy brings nearly a decade of self-storage experience to EquiCap. He launched his career in 2016 with a California-based family office, where he focused on operations and development. He later managed a portfolio across the Mid-South for Westport Properties / US Storage Centers. These roles sharpened his appreciation for how operational strategies and capital decisions tie directly to long-term value.

As Andy transitioned into brokerage, he embraced an advisory-first methodology, helping clients strike a balance between seizing today’s deal opportunities and preserving upside for tomorrow. At EquiCap, he will partner with owners, developers, and investors to optimize their performance, mitigate risk, and articulate strategic growth plans.

Andy’s regional expertise is deeply grounded in the markets he will serve. His Southern and Western operating background provides him unique insight into demographic trends, rent-growth dynamics, and capital flows shaping self-storage in those corridors.

Andy is active in the industry as a past director of the Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSA), and a past president and current Director of the Tennessee Self-Storage Association. Based in Nashville, Andy is a high-level competitive sailor, former three-time All-American and national champion for the UC Irvine sailing team. He earned an MBA degree from Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business Management with a focus on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
