Matt Junkin | Vice President

Matt Junkin joined EquiCap Commercial as Vice President in March 2026. He is a dedicated self-storage investment sales advisor serving owners and investors across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Since entering the industry in 2020, Matt has focused exclusively on the self-storage sector, earning a reputation for disciplined execution, market insight, and consistent results.

Matt advises owners on acquisition strategy, value enhancement, and exit positioning. By actively engaging with operators and buyers throughout the region, he maintains a real-time understanding of pricing trends, capital flows, and transaction activity—helping clients stay ahead of shifting market conditions. Based in EquiCap’s Pennsylvania office, he facilitates transactions for both private and institutional clients across his primary markets in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island and West Virginia.

As a commercial real estate owner himself, Matt brings an owner’s perspective to every assignment, balancing financial performance, operations, and long-term investment strategy to help clients maximize value.

Matt serves as Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Self Storage Association and remains highly involved in the self-storage community. He is a graduate of Millersville University’s Business Program.

Outside of business, Matt enjoys hiking, golfing, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, spending time with family and his two dogs, and traveling to experience new cultures.
