Marla Čolić | Sr Vice President
Marla Čolić entered the self-storage industry in 2012 with the acquisition of Spanish Lake Self Storage in Missouri. Her vision and leadership quickly set her apart, earning her a position as a Mentor and Coach with Self Storage Investing by 2015. In 2016, she expanded into brokerage with Marcus & Millichap, while continuing to operate her own facility and advise other investors. She joined EquiCap Commercial as Senior Vice President in June 2025.

With over a decade of direct, hands-on experience, Marla brings a strategic, owner-first perspective to every transaction. Her impressive track record includes transactions exceeding $100 million, serving both private and institutional clients.

Based in St. Louis, Marla concentrates on the Missouri and Kansas markets, where she excels in guiding clients through complex transactions while building long-term, trust-based relationships.
Marla has also been a dedicated board member of the Missouri Self Storage Association since 2016, staying deeply engaged in industry developments and offering valuable insight into both local and national market trends.

Beyond her professional life, Marla enjoys time with friends and family, the discipline of powerlifting, the creativity of art and interior design, and exploring U.S. National Parks with her husband and three children.
